I always find it interesting that the united states can sell billions and billions worth of technology and military equipment to saudi arabia and qatar and buy billions worth of saudi oil and yet does not put much pressure on them to become more progressive (ie not boycott israel and subsidize jihadist schools and families) when it come to middle east politics
