The Israel Air Force launched two separate strikes on Thursday in northern Gaza, wounding four Palestinians, two of them critically, medics said.
The missiles struck near the town of Jebaliya. The critically wounded men are members of the violent Islamic Jihad group, security officials said.
The Israeli military said the missiles targeted a rocket launching squad.

Medics late Wednesday night found the body of a Palestinian woman in an area of heavy Israeli-Palestinian fighting along Gaza's border with Israel. The woman was discovered in her home in the Abassan village in southern Gaza. Palestinian health officials say she was 35 years old and had seven children.
Earlier Wednesday, Israeli troops and Palestinian gunmen clashed in Abassan. Israeli aircraft fired missiles at a series of targets. One struck Palestinians who were using abandoned houses as cover. A militant was killed and 14 people were wounded in the clashes. The woman's body was discovered hours later, after Israeli forces withdrew.
Palestinian witnesses said a total of 25 tanks and armored bulldozers entered Abassan, an area east of Khan Yunis, setting off battles with local militants.
Israel Air Force aircraft carried out at least four airstrikes, including one that struck a group of Palestinians who were using abandoned houses as cover, witnesses said.
A gunman of the Islamic Jihad group was killed and another group member was wounded, said Dr. Moaiya Hassanain of the Palestinian Health Ministry.
An earlier strike hit six members of the Hamas group, which rules the Gaza Strip. Three of the men were in critical condition, Hassanain said
