Prime Minister Ehud Olmert took time out of his busy schedule last week to make a dream come true for a young wheelchair-bound girl.

Hadas Edri from Karmiel, who has been paralyzed since birth, was invited to Jerusalem to celebrate her 13th birthday with the prime minister and close members of her family.
The meeting came about after Olmert's adviser on social affairs, Vered Swid, heard about the girl and the family's plight from a security guard working in the prime minister's detail. The guard, who cannot be named, had been volunteering in his spare time with the girl and her family.
When she told him during one of their meetings that it was her dream to meet the prime minister, the guard approached Swid to see whether he could, at least, get Olmert's autograph for her.
Swid decided, however, to pursue the matter on a more personal level and persuaded the prime minister to take a break from politics and prisoner swaps to meet with Edri.
"[Olmert] told her that meeting her made him very happy," said Swid.
