Fourteen family members of those murdered in terror attacks filed a lawsuit in the Jerusalem District Court on Thursday against the Palestinian Authority and jailed Tanzim chief Marwan Barghouti for the sum of NIS 450 million, Army Radio reported.

The massive suit also targeted seven additional terrorists currently imprisoned in Israel for their involvement in attacks.

Two terror victims, Ronen Landau and Yola Hen, were murdered in two different attacks in 2001 and 2002, on the road to Givat Ze'ev near Jerusalem.

The families claimed that Barghouti had organized and carried out the attacks in which Landau and Hen were killed, during his time as a Tanzim operative, and were as such suing him for damages.

According to Army Radio, the plaintiffs were represented by attorney Nitzana Darshan-Leiter of the Israeli Law Center, which represents victims of terror in Israel and abroad.

"We demand that the court determine a high and painful price for damaging the bodies and souls of Israeli residents, so that the Palestinian side understands Jewish lives are not ownerless property," wrote Darshan-Leiter on Thursday.
