At 4:30 a.m., a bus traveling in Ashdod hit a truck parked on the side of the road. Magen David Adom paramedics who arrived on the scene treated the wounded, three of whom were moderately injured, while seven other suffered only light injuries. All of the injured were evacuated to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon.

According to an initial police investigation, the bus driver slammed into the parked truck, trapping the passengers on the bus. Firefighters who arrived on the scene managed to extricate the passengers using the "Jaws of Life." Only after all of the passengers were out, did paramedics then determine that one of them had died.

Shortly after the accident in Ashdod, another took place at 6:00 a.m. near Yeruham. One man was killed and another lightly injured when a car hit a camel. According to the police, due to the force of the collision, the car flew into the shoulder of the highway, killing the man.

According to reports, 10 people have died in camel collisions in the past few years.

Another driver was killed in an accident near Ben-Gurion International Airport on Thursday afternoon. The man was apparently attempting to make a U-turn at the El-Al Junction when a truck hit his car. He was evacuated to Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer in critical condition but doctors were unaable save his life. Police were investigating the accident.

Later on Thursday, a ten-year-old boy was killed after being hit by a car in the town of Tira.
