Palestinian officials reported seven people were wounded in the strike on Muhammad Hijazi's house. Their conditions were unclear.

Channel 10 reported that Hijazi may have been connected to last week's terror attack at the Nahal Oz fuel terminal which left two Israelis dead.

Earlier Sunday, three Hamas terrorists were killed and seven others were wounded in an explosion in the northern Gaza town of Jabalya.

Initially, Hamas laid the blame on the IAF, but later stated that the explosion was an "internal event."

The IDF reported there was no military activity in the area. The explosion was assessed to be a "work accident" of terrorists preparing explosive devices or an accidental combustion of old munitions.

The casualties from the explosion are members of the same family, and several of them are known Hamas terrorists.
