This is long overdue. As the article states, the Palestinians have used "the refugees" as a bargaining chip for the last 20 years. There were many more Jews forced out of Arab lands and they were worth much more, as many were in the top echelons of government and industry, as they were in Europe. When Israel retaliates for Kassam missile attacks by severing these proposed Gaza/Egypt powerlines I wonder how Egypt will react. Its possible that commercial interests in Egypt may pressure Gaza to stop firing rockets or go back to Israel to get their electricity.

Well it is a complicated situation isnt it...I would think that if he came out and denounced armed resistance he would be overthrown by more radical elements. So perhaps him acting less radical than his talk is the best we can expect at this time
